The Story of Tony’s Tamales Brand Began in 1982

Mr. Robert Mosley, a Mississippi Delta native, had the idea of bringing his tamales to the state's capital. He began serving his delicious tamales in a small restaurant that was located on Delta Drive in Jackson, Mississippi. As Tony's Tamales restaurant and brand grew, Mr. Mosley decided to relocate the business to a larger facility on Livingston Road, also in Jackson, Mississippi.

Mr. Mosley helped launch the company in yet another direction. In 1984, Tony's added Tamale Wholesales to its operation and began supplying tamales to a variety of restaurants throughout the Jackson metropolitan area. To accommodate both the retail and wholesale growth of the business, once again, in 2007, Tony's relocated to a larger facility on Woodrow Wilson Blvd.

Later, in 2011, Tony's opened its parent company, T & LT Tamales, LLC, and was granted USDA approval.  Since that time, Tony's Tamales has relocated its retail operation to Old Canton Road in Ridgeland, Mississippi, and its wholesale operation to Bentonia, Mississippi. Today, Tony's patronizes and supplies tamales to many restaurants throughout the state of Mississippi, as well as to retailers across the United States. Tony's Tamales is proud to serve and share its family tradition, "A Taste of the Mississippi Delta!"
